People’s National Congress (PNC)’s leader Abdul Raheem Abdulla, on Friday night, called on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to resign before he is humiliated in front of the public.

Speaking at ‘President Yameen 2023’ rally held by the opposition PPM-PNC coalition on Friday night – Adhurey, claiming there not be many days left for the extent of President Solih’s corruption to become public, said it would be smart to resign before he is humiliated in front of the public.

Criticizing the president strongly – Adhurey accused the president of blatantly selling a large part of Maldives while in leadership.

He added that the opposition coalition will succeed in its efforts to retrieve the lost part of Maldives for the citizens of the nation.

“What I have to say is resign before being even further humiliated in front of the public. We are out here. By the will of God, President Yameen will attain back Maldives for Maldivians,” he said.

Speaking further, Adhurey accused President Solih of influencing all government institutions and in this trajectory, the upcoming presidential elections, in order to cloud the validity of the elections.

As an example of the alleged influence – he pointed out the stalled appeal of jailed opposition leader, former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom at High Court.

Adhurey reiterated that the coalition will not rally behind any other political party for the elections, adding they will successfully lead and win the elections.
