President heads to Sh. Atoll to launch 2023 election campaign

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has embarked on a tour of Sh. Atoll, during which he will officially launch his re-election campaign.

He departed on his tour on Sunday morning.

President Solih will make stops in four islands in his current tour; Komandoo, Maroshi, Noomara, and Foakaidhoo.

The rally to launch his re-election bid will be held at Komandoo on Sunday night.

President Solih is being accompanied on the tour by members of his Cabinet and top political allies.

This includes Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid, Defense Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi, and Education Minister Dr. Aishath Ali, along with the Maldives Development Alliance (MDA)’s leader Ahmed Siyam Mohamed and Adhaalath Party’s leader and Home Minister, Imran Abdulla.
