Motorcyclist without license hits pedestrian resulting serious injuries

A motorcyclist who was driving without a license hit a pedestrian in a dangerous accident on early Wednesday morning in Male’ City.

Police said the accident took place at approximately 5:00am on Wednesday morning near Redwave in Majeedhee Magu in which a 22-year-old motorcyclist driving without a license hit a pedestrian, a 50-year-old Maldivian man.

While the victim is being treated at ADK Hospital, his condition remains serious.

Police said they are investigating the accident further.
