Police rescue 3 hostages in Male' - arrests two suspects

Maldives Police Services revealed that three people held hostage in a house located in Male' City have been reasued.

According to the details shared by Police, two arrests were made in connection to the case, and that includes a minor. 

They noted that Police recieved information about a group of people being held hostage in a house on Abdhah Ufaa road in Henveiru.

Police forcefully entered the house in question, and rescued the three, who were Maldivians. It was also revealed the victims were receiving treatment from IGMH, for various degrees of injuries. 

The authorities have not revealed the indentities of the hostages nor the victims, and that the incident is currently under further investigation.
