There is no suspicion in the death of a man who was found dead and littered in the area where the Hulhumale' Water Theme Park was being built.
Police said in a media message on Monday that a man was found dead in an area allocated for a Water Theme Park.
The body was heavily decomposed, so they are trying to identify him, police said at the time. There are some indications that it is a foreigner who has been missing since Thursday, police said that day.
Police confirmed to Sun on Wednesday that the body found was indeed a Nepalese man who had been missing since last Thursday. Forensic analysis has confirmed that it was 29-year-old Rupan Thapa Magar.
"So far, nothing suspicious has been identified in his death," police said.
Police say they are further investigating the incident.
The Water Theme Park, awarded to a Malaysian company in 2017, remains uncompleted and the area is currently unused.
