National airline, Maldivian has decided to resume operations to B. Dharavandhoo Airport.

Island Aviation’s Deputy Managing Director Aishath Jennifer told Sun that Sunday Dharavandhoo Airport operations will resume on June 15th. The airline will be conducting one flight per day to the airport.

Maldivian halted operations to Dharavandhoo Airport in 2019 after Manta Air commenced operations to the airport.

Jennifer detailed that the resumption of Dharavandhoo Airport operations by Maldivian will provide much-needed easements for those traveling to Baa Atoll.

“Travelers will have more choices as three airlines will begin operating to the airport,” she emphasized.

Jennifer said that tickets can be booked starting Monday. Meanwhile, the airline will be offering special fares to Dharavandhoo for a limited amount of time.

The national airline has also recently begun offering discounts between 5 to 15 percent for customers making early bookings.

Fare details:

  • MVR 859 for early bookings
  • MVR 1,125 for late booking (actual price)
