Ooredoo successfully concludes ‘Fun Run’ with over 3K participants
Ooredoo Maldives, on Friday, successfully held the most colorful event held in the Maldives, ‘Fun Run’.
Over 3,000 participants including adults and children took part in the event which was held in Kulhudhuffushi City.
The event kicked off at 4:30pm this evening at Kulhudhufushi City’s Rahumathi area – where participants had gathered beforehand.
Kulhudhuffushi Soul Fit, a fitness centre, guided a warm-up session for the participants before they began their run.
The run began following a special selfie from the officiating guests.
Some of the guests included Makunudhoo MP Mohamed Raii, Kulhudhuffushi City Mayor Mohamed Athif and Deputy Mayor Ahmed Ali. Other members of Kulhudhuffushi Council and council members from other Haa Dhaalu Atoll islands including Hanimaadhoo, Nolhivaramfaru, Makunudhoo, Hirimaradhoo and Nellaidhoo were also in attendance.
The five-kilometer had fun activities after every kilometer including color bash, water sprays, inflatable obstacles, and a foam party to celebrate the completion of the run.
Each registered runner was awarded completed medals upon bringing their bibs to the medal tent.
Officials from Ooredoo and three organizations from Kulhudhuffushi – Hirafus, Coral Club and ZigZag for Youth Linkage – were present at the completion mark of each kilometer.
This event marks one of the biggest runs held outside of Male’ area.
