Local telecom giant, Ooredoo Maldives has been bestowed National Award of Recognition in the field of business and economic development, becoming the only company in the country to receive the honor this year.
The award was to Ooredoo by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during the official reception held on Sunday at HA. Utheemu to commemorate the National Day. Ooredoo’s CEO, Managing Director Khalid al-Hamadi received the award on behalf of the country.
Commenting on the milestone, Hamadi said the award is a testament to Ooredoo’s dedicate to its employees, the trust of its customers and the company’s commitment to the people of the Maldives.
“We will continue to drive innovation and inclusivity as we build a truly Digital Maldives,” he added.

The National Award of Recognition was bestowed upon nine individuals and Ooredoo during Sunday's National Day reception. Meanwhile, the National Award of Honor was bestowed on three individuals including late Mohamed Majidh (Mezzo Mode), who passed away earlier this year, and former construction minister Mohamed Mauroof Jameel.
