Ooredoo Maldives has opened registration for a special competition for Ramadan, the Ooredoo Boki Boalha competition.
The Boki Boalha competition is a bumper football competition – a fun take on traditional football.
The competition is organized in collaboration with Ooredoo’s brand ambassador Maziya Sports and Recreation Club.
Teams can register to take part in the competition via Ooredoo’s portal. Registration closes at 23:59 hours on April 1.
The competition will be held from April 6-8.
The prizes:
12 teams will be divided into four groups, with the winner of each group moving to the semifinals to compete for the championship.
If more than 12 teams register, the teams will be selected via a lucky draw. Each team must have eight members and maximum three officials.
Minimum five players are required to start the match.
Each match will last 10 minutes; two halves with a three-minute break in between. Teams will receive three points for wins and one point for draws during group stage. Draws during the knockout stage will require a penalty shootout.
Meanwhile, the popular Ooredoo Mas Race will be held after Ramadan this year. The company said it made the decision following feedback. The new date for the Ooredoo Mas Race will be announced on Ooredoo’s official social media channels soon, said the company.
