The President’s Office, on Wednesday, has extended the deadline for applications for the post of member of the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom).
The deadline has been extended as February 6th, the initial deadline, falls on a government holiday.
February 6th, the next Monday, was declared a government holiday by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih as he is scheduled to deliver his presidential address to the members of the parliament on that day.
The new deadline for application for BroadCom membership is 12:20pm on Wednesday, February 8.
The application form is available on the President’s Office’s website and must be submitted alongside the required declaration and criminal and debt record forms.
Applications for BroadCom membership have been opened following the resignation of former Vice President Ahmed Gais and as the tenure of another member is set to expire soon.
The composition of BroadCom stands as follows;
BroadCom is constituted of seven members – each appointed for a term of five years.
