The Maldivian administration’s education policy seeks to prepare students for the 21st century, states Vice President Faisal Naseem.
He made the remark at a function held to inaugurate Iskandhar School’s STEM Fair 2022 on Wednesday evening.
Speaking at the function, Faisal highlighted the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in developing children’s knowledge and skills.
He also spoke about involving children in practical activities that require problem-solving to help nurture such skills.
Faisal said that developing the education sector is a priority area for the Maldivian administration.
He concluded his remarks by saying that success can be attained through hard work and determination, and urged parents and teachers to work together in order to achieve the goal.
The STEM Fair features 186 innovative projects by students from key stages 1-4. The fair will close on Thursday.
After the inauguration function, Faisal visited the stands at the fair and inquired about the projects.
