STO holds first ‘Staff Awards’ to recognize and honor staff

State Trading Organization (STO), for the first time, held ‘Staff Award’ ceremony on Thursday night, to honor and recognize the company’s employees.

The ceremony held at Dharubaaruge on Thursday night, saw several awards presented to multiple staff.

As per STO, the purpose of holding such an award is to recognize the talents and the hard work of the company’s staff who play a prominent role in the development of the company.

The awards presented to the staff during the ceremony included ‘Brilliance Award’, ‘Innovator Award’, ‘Got That Extra Mile Award’, ‘Team Player Award’, ‘Service Excellence Award’, ‘Sales Front Runner Award’, ‘Social Media Shout Out Award’, ‘Hyper Help Award’, ‘Sports Star Award’ and ‘Employee Choice Award’.

Nomination of staff for the awards was carried out through a special portal created for the purpose.

STO said that they received a total of 598 nominations. The nominations were reviewed by a five-member committee convened for the purpose.
