Family Protection Authority (FPA) has announced plans to host a special webinar to seek the opinion of victims of domestic violence and members of the general public as it formulates the new national domestic violence prevention strategy.

FPA said the webinar will be held at 09:00 pm Thursday, and is open for all above the age of 18 years.

Registration is open until the end of Wednesday.

FPA is formulating the third national domestic violence strategy (2023-2027) with the aid of a local consultant.

It has already commenced consultation meetings with relevant institutions and civic groups to gather information to formulate the strategy.

“At the same time, this authority believes such work cannot be conducted to its fullest unless with the opinion of people who have experienced domestic violence and the general public,” said FPA.

FPA noted that domestic violence is hard to talk about, but even harder to live through.

By joining the conversation, victims of domestic violence and members of the general public can help make a difference, said FPA.
