October 3 declared a public holiday

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has declared Monday, October 3, as a public holiday.

President’s Office said in a statement that the day was declared a public day as it marked the 50th anniversary to tourism in Maldives.

The PO also noted that the government was set to mark the first National Tourism Day on the date this year.

The PO said the President, in accordance with the advice of his Cabinet, had decided to declare the day a public holiday.
