Man dies after getting stuck amidst unloading marble sheets from container

Two people have been injured in an accident which occurred amidst unloading marble sheets from a container at Hulhumale’ Phase II; with one of the victims passing away as a result.

Police said that they were informed of two individuals getting stuck whilst unloading marble sheets from a container at Hulhumale’ Phase II at approximately 3:30pm this afternoon.

They identified the victims of the accident as two foreign men. Underscoring being informed the death of the of the victims – Police said that the other was being treated at the hospital.

Hulhumale’ Hospital’s spokesperson confirmed to Sun that two foreigners injured in the accident were brought to the hospital’s Emergency Room at around 3:45pm this afternoon.  

Police said that they were investigating the case further.
