Man dies after crashing into traffic cone on Hulhumale’ Highway

A Bangladeshi man died on Saturday morning, after crashing his vehicle into a traffic cone on the Hulhumale’ Highway.

According to the police, the accident took place at around 08:19 am when the man crashed his vehicle on a traffic cone placed to cordon off part of the Hulhumale’-Male’ lane for work on the solar panels.

The police did not specify the type of vehicle he was driving.

The police said the man, identified only as a Bangladeshi male, was taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Male’ City.

“The hospital reported that he died at around 09:05 am while under treatment,” said a police spokesperson.

The accident is under investigation by the police.
