Search underway for local man who went missing diving off Fuvahmulah City

A search operation has been launched for a man who went missing diving off the coast of Fuvahmulah City.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) identified the missing man as a 35-year-old Maldivian man.

They further detailed that he went into the water at approximately 14:30pm this afternoon and at the time he was wearing a black diving suit.

The incident was reported to authorities around 15:45pm this afternoon.
