Higher Education Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Fathmath Hilmy and two more of the ministry’s employees have been suspended.
Civil Service Commission (CSC)’s Vice President Ibrahim Rasheed told Sun on Sunday morning that the Higher Education Ministry’s PS and two employees were suspended in connection to an ongoing investigation by the commission.
They were suspended for a one-month period last week.
However, Civil Service Commission declined to specify the reason for the suspension.
Sun had been informed they were suspended in connection to several incidents of recruitments in violation of regulations and policies.
Ibrahim Rasheed said that the case will be investigated within one month, and that parties found to have been involved in wrongdoings will be taken action against accordingly.
