New year show set to return with Ankit Tiwari

The new year show is set to be held this year – with renowned Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari special guesting.

Titled ‘Maruhabaavees’, the show will be held at 8:30pm on December 31, at Hulhumale’ Running Track.

Ankit Tiwari is a talented playback singer loved by many. He is also a music director and a composer.

His career kicked off from the song he sang and for the movie ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ in 2010.

In 2014, he composed and sang the song ‘Galliyan’ for the hit movie ‘Ek Villian’ – which he received two nominations in Filmfare Awards, and winning the 'Best Male Playback Singer' award; the only Filmfare Award won by someone other than Arijit Singh from 2014 to 2020.

The new year show is organized by Youth Ministry and Tourism Ministry in collaboration with Dhiraagu, Maldivian, Feneka Corporation, MTCC, MPL, MWSC, STELCO and STO.
