Male’ City Council has decided to digitalize all services provided by them.

In a function held last night to meet Vilimale’ residents, Male’ City Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu stated that the digitalization of all their services will be beneficial to both Council staff as well as the people receiving the services.

Mayor Muizzu further detailed that Council staffs face a lot of difficulties in providing services at the moment – thus the digitalization of all the services will greatly help them.

“The staffs will be able to provide services to the people within a short amount of time if we could scan and digitalize everything needed – and compile them into a database capable of analyzing and processing them,” he had said.

He further detailed that the aim is to provide most of the Council’s services in a period of minimum three days and some in one day.

In addition to this, Mayor Muizzu also noted in last night’s function that while the Council has begun to devise the ‘Vilimale’ Master Plan’, they would be inquiring the opinions of Vilimale’ residents regarding the matter.

He also added that the Master Plan included the establishment of a Council office building in Vilimale’.

“If the government permits, we would try to facilitate the provision of all the services rendered by government offices situated in Male’ City through this City Council office to Vilimale’ residents – as a one-stop service center,” he added
