Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced that fully vaccinated travelers in quarantine after arriving in Maldives before July 23 will be released from quarantine with a negative COVID-19 PCR test.
HPA said that children who are ineligible for COVID-19 vaccination who travelled with them will also be released from quarantine with a negative PCR test.
The agency has instructed for travelers who arrived in Maldives 5-7 days prior to get immediately tested for COVID-19, and for travelers who arrived in Maldives less than 5 days ago to get tested within 5-7 days of arrival.
HPA has also announced that recovered COVID-19 patients who received their positive results maximum 60 days ago and the children who are ineligible for vaccination who travelled with them can also end their quarantine.
However, the children are required to get tested within 5-7 days of arrival.
Meanwhile, unvaccinated travelers and travelers who tested positive for COVID-19 more than 60 days ago will continue to be subject to 14 days of mandatory quarantine.
