COVID-19 patient from Dhaandhoo passes away, 151st death

A COVID-19 positive individual from GA. Dhaandhoo has passed away. 

The individual passed away while receiving treatment at the COVID-19 facility in the island of GA. Vilingili. 

Dhaandhoo Council President Mohamed Asif said that the individual was a male aged 68.

He was taken to the facility on May 19. Samples were collected from the individual on the 17th after becoming symptomatic. The results returned as positive on the next day, according to Asif. 

This is the 151st death related to COVID-19 in the Maldives.
