Hood appointed head of Communications Department at President’s Office

Ibrahim Hood has been appointed the head of Communications Department at the President’s Office.

According to the President’s Office, Hood, the Chief Communications Strategist at the President’s Office, was assigned the responsibility to running the Communications Department on Monday.

The appointment follows the resignation of President’s Office Communications Secretary Hassan Ismail on Sunday.

Hoodh has a Master’s Degree in International Relations, and Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Literature.

He previously served in several posts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the President’s Office, including position of Undersecretary at the President’s Office.

He has also served as the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s Spokesperson, but was replaced by Mabrook Azeez earlier this January
