Dhevvadhoo COVID-19 cluster: Cases increase to 69

Cases connected with the cluster of COVID-19 case detected in G. A. Dhevvadhoo have increased to 69. 

Hwalth Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) spokesperson Dr. Nazla Rafeeq, in a press conference tonight stated the cases included 55 from Dhevvadhoo, four from L. Fonadhoo, two from G. A. Villingili, two from Hulhumale' and six from the island of G. A. Dhaandhoo. 

Random samples from the island of Dhevvadhoo were collected after child in home quarantine in the island tested positive on December 24. 

The islands of Villingili, Dhaandhoo, and Dhevvadhoo are still under monitoring mechanisms. 

Total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives has increased to 14,513. The nation has recorded 49 deaths.
