Maldives recorded 694 tourists per day on average in October

Maldives Immigration has announced that in October an average of 694 tourists were recorded per day. 

Statistics released by Immigration show that the nation had received 21,515 tourists in October alone. This is nearly half the number of tourist arrivals since the nation reopened in July.

Most significantly, it is an increase of 26 percent in terms of arrivals.

During the peak of October, 1,475 tourists were recorded in a single day, while 114 were recorded as the fewest. The highest number of arrivals were recorded from Russia with 5,995 tourists.

Arrivals from the UK numbered at 1,780, while arrivals from the USA were recorded at 1,449. 1,396 Indian tourists were also recorded as well as 1,093 French tourists. 

Maldives Immigration added that more than 40,000 tourists have been recorded since the border reopening. The highest number of arrivals were recorded in October.
