Transport Ministry’s Permanent Secretary suspended

Civil Service Commission (CSC) has placed Transport Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Abdulla Fayaz under one-month suspension.

CSC announced on Thursday that it has received a complaint against Fayaz, and has therefore placed him under suspension to conduct an investigation.

The nature of the complaint has not been disclosed.

His suspension is for 30 days.

Permanent secretaries are the highest civil service officials in government ministries.
