National carrier Maldivian has announced that 97 locals in Sri Lanka will be transported back tonight.
A special repatriation flight is to be held today for the purpose of transporting the locals. Maldivian has previously conducted similar operations to several destinations.
Sri Lanka is a country inhabited by many Maldivians such as education and medical purposes.

Previously conducted operations include flights to Thailand, Malaysia, and India.
Flights through other airlines are also being conducted. Those returning have to undergo quarantine periods mandated by the HPA.
