The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) has announced that two individuals have made full recoveries from COVID-19 in the Maldives.

The two individuals had returned from the UK and were in mandatory quarantine when they tested positive for the virus. Mabrouq also announced that Case 18 had also made a full recovery from the virus after testing negative twice. The individual would be released after a third test conducted as a precaution.

“Case 18 has also recovered. Meaning that we received a double negative test. Doctors have recommended keeping patients under observation if the viral load was heavy during the infected period.” Said Mabrouq.
