4 injured in speedboat collision off Male’

Two speedboats have been involved in a collision near Male’.

The accident involved a collision between a launch ferry and a speedboat and happened around 10:00 in the morning.

Police stated that four people suffered various injuries in the accident.

The injured include a 17-year-old girl and three men aged 28, 38 and 50, with three of the injured now being released from the hospital after being treated. However, the 50-year-old man who was injured the worst in the accident is still being treated at the hospital.

Police are now investigating the accident and stated that the two captains of the speedboats had valid licenses.
