Minister Maleeh praises Brain and Spine conference

Minister for Communication, Science and Technology Maleeh Jamaal has praised the Brain and Spine Conference by ADK Hospital that officially commenced in Paradise Island Resort today.

The Minister stated that this was an important conference for the Maldives and will pave the way for new inventions and innovations in the Maldives. This is the third year that the conference will be held in the Maldives and two spinal surgeries were carried out live during the conference yesterday. The Minister also stated that the fact that such a small island nation as the Maldives has the opportunity to work with industry experts and modern technology in the field was something to be thankful for.

"Such conferences are important to build confidence in the industry and develop the medical sector of the country even further. I would like to note the importance of the investments made by the private sector for the development and knowledge of the country. They are working to bring better things to the country," said the Minister while speaking at the official opening ceremony of the conference.

Minister Maleeh also stated that the barriers to the development of the country will be erased with the fourth industrial revolution. He also stressed that the community will be developed to new standards due to this.
