Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) reports no progress has been made in the search to find the Chinese tourist who went missing from a safari at Kandooma Thila on Sunday.
The missing tourist, identified as a 41-year-old Chinese woman, was one of 22 tourists who travelled to the Kandooma Thila on safari OCA M 7S. She was reported missing after she failed to surface after her dive at 1:09 pm on Sunday, August 18.
A team of divers from the MNDF Male’ Area Coastguard Squadron, and Coastguard ship Shaheed Ali has been mobilized for the search operation.
The missing Chinese tourist was last seen wearing a red rash guard suit, white fins, and a black buoyancy control device.
