Foreign Ministry headquarters to be temporarily relocated for renovation

Foreign Affairs Ministry headquarters is scheduled to be temporarily relocated to another location for renovation of its current headquarters.

Foreign Affairs Ministry has announced the renovation of its current headquarters will begin on August 15.

It has announced its headquarters will be temporarily relocated to the MTCC Sawmill Relocation Building, situated to the East of the Hulhumale’ Ferry Terminal, until the renovation is complete.

Foreign Affairs Ministry services will be available from its temporary headquarters at the MTCC Sawmill Relocation Building starting from September 6.

It has issued an apology for the inconvenience it may cause the public.

The renovation of the Foreign Affairs Ministry headquarters will be carried out with grant assistance from the Chinese government.

Foreign Affairs Ministry reports it expects the renovation to remedy the lack of sufficient space at its headquarters and help expand its services.
