Heavy rainfall, swell waves forecasted for Central, Southern Maldives

Maldives Meteorological Service forecasts heavy rain over Southern and Central Maldives throughout the upcoming weekend.

The agency reports that it forecasts scattered rain across Maldives, and isolated thunderstorms especially in the Southern and Central atolls of Maldives.

Maldives Meteorological Service has warned seafarers to be cautious as it expects seas to be rough in the Southern and Central atolls, and moderate becoming rough during showers in the Northern atolls.

The agency also forecasts swell waves during high tide in the Southern and Central atolls.

• Northern atolls: 12:46 pm and 12:45 am
