MP Abdul Raheem summoned to ACC

Interim Leader of People’s National Congress (PNC) and Fonadhoo MP Abdul Raheem Abdulla (Adhurey) has been summoned to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Speaking during a debate at the Parliament this Wednesday morning, Spokesperson of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and Kelaa MP Ali Arif announced that Abdul Raheem was at the ACC in answer to a summons sent by the commission.

He added that he too, has been sent summons by the ACC.

“Honorable Speaker, I have been sent summons to present myself to ACC at 11 am. Abdul Raheem is currently at ACC,” said Arif.

He did not say what the summons were regarding.

Adhurey later confirmed he presented himself to ACC in answer to a summons. He said it was regarding an ongoing investigation by the commission, and declined to divulge any details.
