President inaugurates sanitation services at Hen’badhoo

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has initiated sanitation services at N. Hen’badhoo – a project by Champa Brothers.

Sanitation services were initiated at Hen’badhoo in a function this Thursday afternoon.

Speaking during the inauguration, Solih announced the sanitation system was a MVR 18.9 million project run as a CSR initiative by Champa Brothers.

The system includes a pump station and pipeline covering the whole island – able to service all households at the 750-people island.

The project’s contractor, ALTEC Maldives, started construction on December 24, 2017.

The inauguration function this Thursday was attended by Champa Mohamed Moosa (Uchu), Minister of Environment Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan, and Minister of National Planning and Infrastructure, Mohamed Aslam.
