Dhangethi MP Ilham Ahmed presented himself at police headquarters this Sunday, says Maldives Police Service.
MPS announced the authority was looked for Ilham in connection with the ongoing investigation into the recent coup attempt last Friday.
MPS tweeted this Sunday that Ilham presented himself at the police headquarters at 11:37 am.
Ilham and South Machangolhi MP Abdulla Sinan returned to Maldives after months of self-imposed exile on February 3, after the Supreme Court issued its order for the immediate release and retrial of nine political leaders and the immediate reinstatement of 12 parliamentarians on February 1.
The two MPs were arrested at the airport and taken to Dhoonidhoo, but the Criminal Court ordered their release at the remand hearing the next day.
