Car loses control, crashes into water in Addu City

A car being drive at high-speed along the causeway between Gan and Feydhoo in Addu City lost control and crashed into the water, in an accident this Monday morning.

A police media official who spoke to “Sun” confirmed the accident, and said it took place at approximately 4 am.

The police said the only person in the car when the accident took place was the person driving the vehicle, who survived with only light injuries.

Feydhoo councilor at Addu City Council, Ali Fahmy Ahmed reported to “Sun” that the car crashed into the water during low tide. And that the car suffered extensive damage.

It’s not clear whether the person driving the vehicle has been arrested.
