ACC investigation team obstructed by Family Court

An investigation team from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has been obstructed by the Family Court, when they visited the court to obtain documents related to a corruption case.

President of ACC Hassan Luthfee told Sun Online, “Our team visited the court with an official ACC warrant. All team members were carrying the ACC team card. But they were told by the Family Court official, that the court did not wish to discuss the warrant, and that they were busy with other work. They asked our team to leave.”

Luthfee said that ACC has not discussed the matter with any senior official of the court, because they are most likely informed of this incident.

He further said that a case will be filed to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) and Chief Justice Ahmed Faiz Hussain regarding Family Court’s refusal to cooperate with ACC.
