Bills on sexual harassment, sexual offences ratified

The Bill on Sexual Abuse and Harassment, and the Bill on Sexual Offences have been ratified today by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

The Bill on Sexual Abuse and Harassment aims to prevent sexual abuse and harassment in the workplace, in schools, health service institutions, and other social service institutions; while the Bill on Sexual Offences defines sexual offences and prescribes policies related to this offence.
