President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, on Monday morning, has departed on a four-day tour of residential islands in Baa Atoll.
According to the President’s Office, during this trip, the President will visit 12 residential islands in Baa Atoll: Kamadhoo, Kudarikilu, Kendhoo, Eydhafushi, Thulhaadhoo, Goidhoo, Fehendhoo, Fulhadhoo, Hithaadhoo, Kihaadhoo, Dhonfan, Dharavandhoo, and Maalhos.
During these visits, he will meet with island councils and Women’s Development Committees, engage with residents, and discuss the development needs and priorities of the communities. He will also engage directly with residents to inquire about their wellbeing.
The President is accompanied by several cabinet ministers and senior government officials.
The tour falls in line with President Muizzu’s initiative to tour all Maldivian atolls and engage directly with councils at the island, atoll, and city levels.
He will conclude the tour and return to Male’ on Thursday.
