The Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Men’s Champions League has concluded as a remarkable tournament in the history of volleyball in Maldives. The tournament is also special for Sun Siyam Media Group in many ways. Operated wholly by a small number of staff with the Sun Siyam Media Group, it was executed successfully at an international level.

The Central Asian Volleyball Association is a large organization of 14 countries in Central Asia, Asia's largest volleyball confederation. Six Asian champions were featured in the CAVA Men's Champions League that concluded on Wednesday in Maldives. The matches were proudly broadcast by SSTV of Sun Siyam Media Group to the entire Asian continent as well as the world.

There are rules to follow in live coverage of international tournaments. From the running order of the live coverage to the coaches' interviews and team arrivals to the graphics, Sun's energetic employees have made a difference.

CAVA President Mohamed Latheef highlighted SSMedia’s hard work. After the final match on Wednesday, Latheef prioritized meeting with the staff of Sun Media who worked on the coverage.

"Sun Siyam Media team is incomparable, 14 countries have praised the coverage”.

This is the most successful work done by the Volleyball Association with a private media company in the history of volleyball in Maldives. The result is sweet. Latheef met the Sun coverage team and lavished praise and encouragement on the team. Latheef described this as a new beginning for volleyball in Maldives.

"This is the first such work with a private media in the history of volleyball. This will open a new door for sports, thanks to the brave team of Sun Siyam Media," Latheef had said.

Latheef also mentioned that the live coverage of the tournament was broadcast without relying on any other party. The quality of the work of the Sun staff was evident in the thoroughness of the coverage, he said.

“It is a great satisfaction to be able to complete such an event without raising complaints from anywhere, and doing everything alone; I have received no complaints from any team or the association. There’s no team like the Sun team”.

In addition to CAVA, tens of millions of people around the world have watched Sun's coverage through Facebook and YouTube. Some member countries have shared with him how flawless they thought Sun's coverage was, Latheef said.

The Sun team worked tirelessly every day of the seven-day tournament. Sun Siyam Media CEO Mohamed Asif (Mondhu) has worked very closely to monitor the activities, providing advice and guidance. Latheef said this has given CAVA much confidence in Sun employees on top of the appreciation.

"Seeing the CEO of Sun Media working with the team on the ground showed how strong their team work is, and inspired great confidence in them. We have not seen this when we have worked with other media before," he said.
