Visit Maldives, in collaboration with Ignite Travel Group (ITG), a prominent Australian destination marketing and travel distribution company, has launched a campaign to promote the Maldives in the Australian market.

In a statement on Wednesday, Visit Maldives stated that the campaign, set to continue until July 31, aims to establish the Maldives as a top travel destination in Australia.

The joint promotional campaign seeks to increase the number of Australians viewing the Maldives as a tourist destination and expand the Australian market, according to the company. The initiative leverages ITG’s expertise to showcase the Maldives’ unique tourism experiences.

Additionally, ITG will promote the Maldives’ tourism experiences to Australia’s premium travelers through platforms such as Flight Centre and My Holiday, the company noted.

The campaign will feature the Maldives on major Australian media platforms and digital displays to enhance visibility.

Visit Maldives highlighted that the campaign aims to boost Australian arrivals during the low season in Maldives. The company emphasized prioritizing longer stays and increased tourist spending in the Maldives. The campaign is tailored to key customer segments, including couples and families seeking luxury experiences.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, 23,198 Australian tourists have visited the Maldives so far this year.
