Woman injured in fall from Male’ building put on life support

The young woman injured in an apparent fall from a building in Male’ City on Friday is in critical condition and is being treated on a ventilator, according to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The 21-year-old woman was found injured on the roof of a building in the Henveiru district at around 07:23 am on Friday. She was rushed to IGMH with the assistance of firefighters.

A spokesperson from the IGMH told Sun on Saturday morning that the young woman is being treated on a ventilator at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

However, the spokesperson declined to disclose details regarding her injuries, citing patient confidentiality rules.

Multiple sources reported that the young woman had fallen from a neighboring building.

However, the police have not made an official comment regarding the circumstances of the fall.

The case is under investigation by the police.
