The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has opened applications for its 2025 corporate apprenticeship program, offering individuals who take part in the program a monthly stipend of MVR 6,000.
In an announcement on April 9, the HDC said that 25 spots are open in this year’s apprenticeship program. It is open to all Maldivian citizens between ages 18 and 35 who have completed basic education.
The program will allow participants who gain experience and training in the following fields:
The program will be conducted over the course of six months, with participants paid a monthly compensation of MVR 6,000.
The tentative date for the start of the program is June.
Interested candidates can apply online for the program before April 24.
Launched in 2016, the apprenticeship program is a key CSR initiative by the HDC aimed at empowering youth. According to HDC, the primary objective of the program is to help apprentices develop skills, gain self-confidence, learn work ethics and build their competence to become a professional.
Hassan Shahid, the head of HDC’s marketing department, said that graduates of the apprenticeship program have been serving in various posts within the HDC and other corporate entities since 2016.
Through this program, HDC strives to enrich the lives of the future generations, he added.
