Saudi Arabia has donated an additional 10 tons of dates to the Maldives for Ramadan.
The donation by the Saudi Islamic Ministry was accepted on behalf of the Maldivian government by Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed in a ceremony attended by senior Saudi embassy officials on Monday.
Shaheem thanked the Saudi government for their generosity.
The additional donation of 10 tons of dates follows 50 tons of dates that were donated to the Maldives ahead of Ramadan.
The Saudi government donates dates to Maldives for Ramadan each year.
