The government has decided to increase token numbers for the distribution of tuna cases for Ramadan in the greater Male’ area.

Via a post on X on Sunday, Local Governance Minister Adam Shareef Umar noted that the distribution of tuna cases was successfully carried out last night through seamless arrangements.

As such, he announced the decision to increase the token numbers issued for each distribution centre compared to last night and reschedule the token numbers issued for individuals at a later date, for an earlier date.

The token numbers are issued via ‘Roadha Hadhiya’ portal starting from 6:00pm every day.

Minister Adam Shareef, noting the government is targeting to complete the distribution of the tuna cases before Ramadan, affirmed distribution will continue until each household has received a tuna case.

People need to present their national identity card and one month’s electricity bill to collect the tuna cases. The distribution of tuna cases will be limited to three cases (for three electricity meters) per person.

Tuna cases can be collected from 13 locations, with the number of tokens varying from location to location.

The locations:

  • MIFCO complex in Maafannu
  • MTCC Sawmill
  • Henveiru Football Stadium
  • Galolhu Football Stadium, Setup 1
