Govt seeks contractors to build over 12,000 housing units across 57 islands

Finance Ministry has posted an announcement seeking contractors for a mega public housing project that will see the construction of over 12,000 units across 57 islands.

In an announcement published on the Government Gazette on Wednesday, the Finance Ministry said the contracts will be awarded in accordance with International Competitive Bidding (ICB) policies, National Competitive Bidding (NCB) policies, and the policies set down under Section 10 of the Public Finance Regulation.

According to the Finance Ministry, prospective bidders have the option of choosing from various financial model options.

Specific procurement notices for contracts that will be opened for open national and international competitive bidding will be announced through a pre-qualification process in February.

The Finance Ministry asked prospective bidders who wish to be included in the mailing list for pre-qualification invitations or clarify additional information to email the National Tender Department at [email protected].
