Fireworks practice for new year scheduled for tonight

SIFCO will be holding a practice fireworks display on Thursday night as part of preparations for the new year’s eve.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) said SIFCO will be holding a practice fireworks display at 20:00pm tonight in Hulhumale’ Phase III as part of preparations for new year’s eve.

Three two-minute fireworks displays will be conducted in this regard.

Various events are held in both atolls and Male’ to commemorate the new year. They include firework displays. Last year, Youth Ministry held a children’s festival, a music show, a laser show and a firework display to commemorate the new year.
