Person found dead in Hulhumale’ lagoon

A person has been found dead in the lagoon of Hulhumale’ Phase I.

A spokesperson said the person was found in the lagoon area near the MNDF Fire Station at around 04:30 pm on Monday.

The body has been taken to shore and is currently being transferred to the Hulhumale’ Hospital.

The spokesperson was unable to confirm any other details regarding the identify of the deceased, including the gender.

The police are currently at the scene.
