Baiskoafu to premier ‘Raiha’ drama series next Thursday

Streaming platform ‘Baiskoafu’ has decided to premier ‘Raiha’, the first drama series produced by Sun Siyam Media for commercial purposes, on next Thursday.

Raiha is a 12-episode drama series depicting a love story.

An agreement was reached between SS Media and Baiskoafu to release the drama series on the streaming platform on August 28^th. In this regard, the Baiskoafu released Raiha’s trailer last Thursday.

Two established and skilled stars in the Maldivian film industry play the lead characters in the drama; Ali Azim (Dhon Ayya) and Aminath Noora. It will feature Ali Usham (Dhona) in an unusual role and introduce a new actress – Laisha Latheef.

Baiskoafu has released character posters for the drama series. In this regard, Noora will play the female protagonist, Raiha; Dhon Ayya stars as Yanir, Dhona stars as Azeem and Laisha stars as Zara. Meanwhile, Ahmed Ifdhau stars as Yafiu while Ibrahim Fairooz stars as Fahudh.

Raiha’s trailer was officially launched during a ceremony held at OTP by Solite back in July.

The drama series is directed by prominent filmmaker in the Maldives, Ali Rasheed (Golha Ayya), who also undertook post-production works. The cinematography was done by SSTV’s senior cameraman, Mohamed Shaan while the screenplay was written by Aminath Rinaza (Rina). 

The drama series was shot in M. Mulah with 60 percent of the cast being Mulah residents.
